Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. Her work has been recognized for film and television since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett as well as her mother and sister were moved from the city of Winston-Salem to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was 5 years old. The father of the family had separated from their mom. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still at high school and decided that she was an actor and was looking to pursue. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. awarded an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year 1980. The school she attended was the school following: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead roles in the film Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
